Please introduce yourself and your art medium.
Greetings! I am Jessi Brooks and I create metal wall & garden art from recycled steel with a whimsical style that has bold, bright colors & a resin finish for that extra “pop”.
What is the most challenging aspect of being an artist?
The most challenging aspect of being an artist is balancing creative freedom.
What do you hope viewers take away from your artwork?
I hope my art brings the viewers joy & they take with them the whimsy of life.
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
I am both early bird & a night owl. Double edged sword.
What role does experimentation play in your creative process?
Huge!!! Play is the main driving force in my creations … without play, why create!?
If you could take a week off from your regular life to immerse yourself in learning something new, what would it be?
I am fascinated with TUFTING! It can be a compliment to what I do now but softer & lighter material without comprising color.
