Howdy! I’m Darien Hamilton and I enjoy painting with acrylic and oils.
What is the most challenging aspect of being an artist?
Finding time out of my default life to create what bubbles up from my fettered mind.
What do you hope viewers take away from your artwork?
Hopefully folks will view my art and giggle or laugh and accept the absurdity of our modern world and not take things so seriously.
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Nighttime’s the right time if you know what I mean…
What role does experimentation play in your creative process?
Experimentation is a big, big factor in my work. Trying different colors, techniques, should Judas be shown texting the Romans on an iPhone or Android….it’s all experimental.
If you could take a week off from your regular life to immerse yourself in learning something new, what would it be?
Hmmm. I’d choose learning Italian because of the food and the art!
