Please introduce yourself and your art medium. Hello, I am Christina Salazar, and my art/medium is sterling metal. I love making jewelry.
What is the most challenging aspect of being an artist? Because I work full time, the most challenging aspect now is trying to find the time to work on my art. Especially when I have so many ideas.
What do you hope viewers take away from your artwork? I would like the viewers to notice that I make unique one-of-a-kind pieces.
Are you an early bird or a night owl? I am an early bird by nature.
What role does experimentation play in your creative process? Experimentation is important, if I have an idea and I am with friends they know if I grab a piece of paper or napkin and start bending it in different ways, I have an idea for a new piece.
If you could take a week off from your regular life to immerse yourself in learning something new, what would it be? Educating myself or taking a class on a new medium in art. It opens my mind for creating jewelry.
