Hi, I’m Sandy Lindblad. I like to create paintings using pastel and acrylic on canvas or board.
What is the most challenging aspect of being an artist?
I find as an artist, the most challenging thing is promoting oneself!!
What do you hope viewers take away from your artwork?
Basically, I hope that the audience looking at my art appreciates the colors I use and the personalities of animals that I create, especially when I create commissions of people’s pets, which I am known for!
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
I am an early bird. Generally, I get up way early in the morning.
What role does experimentation play in your creative process?
I do like to play around with my acrylics and pastels to get different effects in my paintings.
If you could take a week off from your regular life to immerse yourself in learning something new, what would it be?
I would explore different trails on a mountain bike!!! Yep, a mountain bike, which is my other side!!
