Tim Turney’s creative outlet has always been woodworking. There were times in his younger years if he wanted to furnish his homes, the choices were to spend lots of money on furniture, or spend that money on tools. Tim chose the latter and began furnishing his homes with his own work. At first, the pieces were utilitarian but solidly built with little attention to any particular genre or style. During that journey, wood’s beauty always showed through. Five years ago, Tim purchased a lathe primarily to create segmented turnings. His philosophy is to expose the beauty of Mother Nature’s creation and do Her justice with furniture and turnings that highlight the medium.
