From early childhood, wood carver Viktor Ivantsov, would walk through the forest of his hometown of Vinnitsa Ukraine, picking up sticks and carving decorations on them. He passionately loved carving, but realized “carving is not real life”, so it became a hobby that he rarely had time for. It took years for him to learn that wood chip carving is his calling and it was then that he decided to master the skill. Viktor flew to Kirov Ukraine for the opportunity to learn from one of the greatest masters of Geometrical Carving.
Viktor’s intricate carvings range from simple Christmas toys to complex custom jewelry boxes and chess boards. His mission it so pass on his knowledge to those interested in taking a piece of wood and creating something beautiful with it. When he’s not carving, he enjoys fishing, hiking and playing guitar.
