Linda Whiteside has been a member of the Auburn Old Town Gallery for over 22 years. From a very young age, she’s had an interest in painting and drawing, but it wasn’t until the spring of 1992, while taking classes in ceramics at Riverside Community College, that she discovered the joy of working “in the mud”. It has been a journey of love and discovery ever since. Shortly after moving to Sacramento in 1996, she met a kindred spirit and “soul sister” in Lana Federico. Lana introduced her to the art of Raku, a beautiful and ancient method of firing utilizing metallic glazes to produce unique and lustrous finishes that are incomparable to traditional ceramic glazes in beauty and appeal.
Linda has exhibited her work extensively in the greater Sacramento area and throughout the state, as well as galleries in Oregon and Nevada.
Linda and Lana Federico combine their talents to produce unique, free form, Raku-fired art.
