Jeweler Suzanne Himmler is a maker. In her own words: “This isn’t a choice so much as a passion and a need to create. I’m driven to make things, quilts, stained glass, lush gardens, serene living spaces, peach pies and marmalade jam to name a few. The most important and true loveof my life is creating jewelry, sculpting forms from sheet silver, bending gold wire just so to enhance an earring, finding and capturing that perfect stone in a framework of interest and beauty and binding them all with fire. People who wear my jewelry know and feel the joy of creativity unbound as well as the precision and care needed to make truly wearable pieces of art. I’m very fortunate to live in this area, to enjoy my family’s old roots, to experience the richness of people and place that many admire and yearn for and to share my passion with those who live and visit.”
